First Ever Cadillac ELR Ad Uses Famous Face to Perpetuate Stereotypes

Posted: 10 Feb 2014 02:08 PM PST

Cadillac's recent ascent onto the global luxury stage is a breath of fresh air in the industry (and a source of sleepless nights for some German, Japanese and Italian folk), after decades of being second rate, held together almost entirely by the strong resonance of its name and the now meaningless marketing slogans that stood true for its products back in the day. Posted: 10 Feb 2014 11:08 AM PST

It's now been decided that if Aston Martin makes an SUV, it will brand it as one of its own, not using the revived Lagonda nameplate. However, that doesn't make things any clearer, and but what does is the rumor that the future high-riding Aston could use the same underpinnings as the Mercedes-Benz GL. Read more »

Poor Nissan 300ZX Living the Drag Life of a Ferrari F512 M

Posted: 10 Feb 2014 08:44 AM PST

If you ask me, the third and last iteration of the Ferrari Testarossa, the F512 M produced in just 500 units from 1994 through 1996, is one of the most tasteless styling jobs to come out of Maranello in the brand's modern history; it's as if some number-cruncher took the 1980s Testarossa and said, "hey, how about we screw on these leftover parts and give it a 1990s groove?". New Tesla Model X Reportedly Coming Exclusively with All-Wheel Drive

Posted: 10 Feb 2014 06:46 AM PST

A problem of the current automotive context is that, through the unhealthy practice of creating dozens of niches, the basic idea of classes and what is adquate for a car to have become really blurry. That's why we were wondering if Tesla's upcoming Model X high-rider would also be offered as a rwd model too, given that its conventional rivals all offer the choice and its predictably high price.
