Cadillac Sweetens Up ELR's $75,995 Bitter Pill with Free Home Charger [+60 New Pics]

Whichever way you see, with a $75,995 starting price before the available federal tax credit of up to $7,500, the new Cadillac ELR extended range hybrid coupe is one very expensive ride. I mean, with the same money you can buy the technologically identical Chevy Volt ($35k) and a base Cadillac CTS Coupe ($40k MSRP or less if you push your dealer) and call it a day.

Perhaps that's why Cadillac is trying to kick-start sales of the ELR by announcing that it will offer a complimentary 240-volt home charging station and installation to early buyers of the ELR.

VW’s Labor Boss Slams Company’s U.S. Strategy, Calls it a Disaster

Bernd Osterloh, Volkswagen AG's top labor representative, has labeled the carmaker's U.S. operations as a "disaster" adding that more models and swift decisions are needed to revive the company's position in the world's second-largest car market.

While VW has a dominant position in China and Europe, it has yet to fully understand how to succeed in the United States, Osterloh told reporters in Wolfsburg, Germany.

If you thought there was no room in the Audi range for an intermediate model slotting between the S3 and RS3, well may (or may not…) have been wrong.

Reportedly, the German automaker is pondering the introduction of an S3 Plus model that would purportedly bump the power figure up to 380PS (375 PS), so as not to affect the RS3, which under the same assumption, would make it safe to say is going to have over 400 hp.
