Posted: 21 Feb 2013 05:51 PM PST

The Geneva motor show will mark the world debut of the restyled C3, if you believe Citroën, or European debut if you take into consideration the updated C3 presented in Brazil last summer.

On the outside, the European C3 gains the same suit of cosmetic upgrades as the Brazilian model including a new fascia with a double chevron grille and bumper-mounted LED daytime running lights, plus new tail light clusters combined with new reflectors set underneath the rear bumper. An available new Ink blue body paint completes the exterior revisions.

Poll: Should Chevrolet Supercharge the SS with a ZL1 Edition?

Posted: 21 Feb 2013 04:53 PM PST

When Josh and I were exchanging thoughts about our 'Future Car' rendering of the 2014 Chevrolet SS last December, we decided to go with a ZL1-like version instead of the regular model, which we both saw as a potential addition to the range.

Once again, Josh performed his magic and correctly predicted the shape and styling details of the base SS and therefore, the Holden Commodore SS V as well, decorating the end result with all those special features one expects from a Z series Chevy,  including a ground effects kit, different bumper, honeycomb grille inserts and a bulging hood scoop – just like on the Camaro ZL1 and Corvette ZR1.

2014 Range Rover Gains New 335HP 3.0-liter Supercharged V6

Posted: 21 Feb 2013 12:57 PM PST

Less than three months after the all-new 2013 Range Rover hit U.S. shores and Land Rover has already released a 2014 model, which brings a new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine to replace the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8, with sales to begin this summer.

Land Rover said this new engine will be offered in "key global markets which favour smaller capacity petrol engines", which sounds kind of strange if you consider that the V6 will be offered in North America but not in the United Kingdom…

Volvo Slowly Ditching Ford Tech for its Own Platforms and Engines Beginning with the XC90

Posted: 21 Feb 2013 11:31 AM PST

It's been a little over two years since Ford Motor Co. sold Volvo to China's Geely Automobile, but the Swedes are still relying on the Blue Oval's platforms and engines. Even the new V40, which we initially expected to use the brand's own hardware, is in fact based on a Ford architecture.

All this will begin to change from late next year when Volvo introduces the long awaited successor to its popular XC90 SUV, as it will be the first model in the range to use the company's all-new scalable platform architecture (SPA), which was announced in 2011 through the "You Concept" sedan.

Case in point, this bizarre creation discovered by Carscoop Facebook reader Jonathon O. for sale in Minnesota for the paltry sum of $4,800.

Two men clinging on the sides of an SUV (is that a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 or something else?) that's tilted on its side with two wheels off the ground and driving in circles on an uneven and bumpy surface; what could possibly go wrong?

Sure, a few people willing to risk their lives and well-being have done it with success before, but your chances of coming out unscathed are clearly against you.

For a company that went belly up in 2011, Saab is sure receiving a lot of attention from the media lately. At first, it was Swedish magazine AutoMotorSport that brought Saab back again under the limelight of discussion with the release of three, very low quality, computer models of the new 9-3 in both liftback and convertible forms.

The griffon-loving crew at Saabsunited accepted the challenge and upped the ante with the release of four pictures, the most important of which is a near production prototype of the liftback that would have been the new 2013 Saab 9-3.

Continuing a tradition that stretches back more than three decades, Volkswagen is extending the seventh generation Golf's lineup with a performance diesel model carrying the GTD moniker.
