The Coupe and Roadster are reportedly among the models that will be discontinued, as they haven't exactly been sales hits. According to a report from Car Sales that cites sources from within the company, the two slow-selling models will be replaced by a stand-alone sports car, which will have both hard- and soft-top versions. AutoVAZ Brings Cheap Granta to Europe to Test the Market Posted: 08 Aug 2013 09:31 AM PDT Ever since Renault hit it really big with their low-cost Dacia brand, all other manufacturers have tried to adopt the successful model. However, nobody liked models like the Fiat Albea or Peugeot 206 sedan, or others of the sort, and while they did sell, they couldn't match the sheer volume of sales that Dacia was getting with the Logan sedan, in so many varied markets, including western Europe. What is needed is not a ridiculous hack and then glue back together job, like Peugeot seemed to have done with the aforementioned 206 sedan, but rather a car built from the onset as a cheap model, like the Logan. It wasn't specified how many they actually shifted, but it was noted that they reached happy new owners in Norway, the Netherlands and Switzerland, with the first being seen as their gateway into the market, and a point of strong demand – Norway could have as many as 800 Model S sedans on its roads by the end of 2013.
