For instance, you can take a 1958 Fiat 600 Multipla, restore it to its original condition, then garner it with some nice original Abarth engine components, which make it produce a lot more power from its basic standard engine, then charge $67,500 for it and try shifting it on eBay. VW Builds 30 Millionth Golf in Wolfsburg, 2,000 Golfs Sold Each Day since 1974 Posted: 15 Jun 2013 08:32 AM PDT This week, VW's plant in Wolfsburg, Germany, built the 30 millionth Golf, about 39 years after production of the original Golf began in early 1974. Volkswagen's most successful European car ever, the Golf has been sold in over 2,000 units every day over the past 39 years. The milestone car is a Golf TDI BlueMotion, a recently introduced model that boasts a fuel consumption of just 3.2 liters/100 km (73.5 US mpg), making it the most economical Golf ever built.
