| Moron Alert: Nissan GT-R Driver Crashes Right Into a Lexus RX Posted: 22 Jun 2013 11:15 AM PDT  Yes, it's head-scratching, Russian dash-cam time again and here we have a foolish and impatient driver, who after this incident, shouldn't really be allowed behind the wheel of any car, let alone one of the likes of the Nissan GT-R, for a very long time. While all other motorists were patiently waiting for the red light, the person driving the tuned Japanese sports car wanted to play smart guy violating a basic road rule that says stay on your side of the road, especially when there's a double line. | Car Key Now a Posh, Smart Accessory for Display On the Bistro Table – Show Us Yours Posted: 22 Jun 2013 09:08 AM PDT  It is often considered rude or impolite in some cultures for one or more of several people sitting around a table to have their car keys out on the actual table surface itself, as if to show everybody what nice a choice of vehicle they made. This makes feel some insecure types feel inadequate, but not all find it offensive, though, and one does get to see a diverse selection of ignition keys, cards (some Renault models) or Emotional Control Units (for newer Aston Martins) in this way. | Tesla Battery Swap Takes 90 Seconds, Technology Will Come This Year Posted: 22 Jun 2013 07:46 AM PDT  Tesla Motors is doing all it can to make the electric car a more user-friendly proposition. One of the greatest disadvantages of EVs is battery-charging time, which takes a lot more than filling up a conventional car with petrol. Tesla Motors has been working on a solution to this problem and came up with a battery swapping technology. Mind you, it's not a novel idea, as the now-defunct Better Place company was the first to implement it. However, Tesla has great confidence in its technology, which was demonstrated to hundreds of owners of Tesla EVs last night. Swapping the depleted battery of a Model S takes just over 90 seconds, less than half the time it takes to refill a gas tank. Read more »   |
