Following the release of the first set of official photos of the new Corolla sedan for Europe and other markets, Toyota has released the full press kit of its compact saloon model.

The 11th generation of the Corolla features a roomier interior, especially for rear passengers, thanks to the 100 mm longer wheelbase (2,700 mm) compared to the previous model. At 4,620 mm (181.9 in) long, 1,775 mm (69.9 in) wide and 1,465 mm (57.7 in) high, it is 80 mm longer and 15 mm wider, yet 5 mm lower, than its predecessor. New BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor for Those Who Like to Carry Their Bikes

Posted: 10 Jul 2013 04:14 PM PDT

If you were like us and were expecting the new "Outdoor" version of BMW's Concept Active Tourer to be a study for a crossover-esque model, you will be disappointed to learn that it brings nothing more than a new orange paint job (dubbed Gold Race Orange) more hard-wearing interior materials and a carrier system for two bicycles.

That is, if you believe us and not the likes of certain publications like Autocar that somehow came up with the idea that it is a "more rugged-looking version of the Concept Active Tourer" and that "its 2670mm wheelbase is 90mm shorter than the original model, but is fractionally longer, narrower and taller". For the record, it has the same exact wheelbase as the original concept.

Posted: 10 Jul 2013 02:58 PM PDT

We'd like to believe that most of you have played bumper cars with your dad at some point in your life – if you haven't and you still have the opportunity to do so, you should, just make sure, though, that it's a game and not a real life-or-death kind of situation…

The crew over at Jalopnik, where we first saw this video of a very aggravated father in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class crashing his car into his son's BMW Z4 roadster, says the incident took place in China's Ma'anshan City, where it was captured on a traffic camera.

If Subaru keeps its five-year product cycle, then we should see all three body styles of the 6th generation Legacy introduced in 2014 and go on sale as 2015MYs (in North America) by the middle of the year.

After watching this video of a truck entering a tunnel – we think it's in Taiwan, but don't take our word for it, crashing and ending up on its side, the first thing we thought is that it was caused by someone hitting the vehicle from behind.

Well, we were clearly wrong, and just in case it crossed your mind too, no, it wasn't the dashboard mounted camera the stumbled, but the truck itself…

Drive Visits Morgan's Factory in the UK

Morgan Motor Company is proud to be one of, if not the last truly family owned historic carmaker in the world. Not in any way like the Peugeot family's ownership of PSA, because the smaller scale of Morgan's operation, as well as their traditional methods of going about building a car don't really mix very well with the overly-globalized concepts that most modern large-scale automakers have and are ardent supporters of. Mazda Is in No Hurry to Build Hybrids

Posted: 10 Jul 2013 09:44 AM PDT

Mazda seems to be sticking with the main principles they announced with their SKYACTIV philosophy, according to a recent report. One of these was to steer clear of hybrids, as they add unnecessary weight, complexity and according to some reports, are not as green as they would want you to believe through clever and colorful marketing campaigns.

Moreover, they are able to do this because they are a relatively small manufacturer, which since 2010, is more or less independent, as they severed most production and development ties with Ford.

Good Motorcycle Samaritan Saves a Cup of Coffee from Sure Death

Posted: 10 Jul 2013 09:05 AM PDT

You could say it was unnecessary, but it was a good deed nonetheless. We're talking about YouTube author Bossaucey who while riding his motorcycle on a road in Orem, Utah, noticed a cup of coffee (or tea, we didn't taste it to know for sure), standing on the rear bumper of a Ford SUV.

Instead of turning the other way and moving ahead, Bossaucey decided he should act and save the cup from a miserable fate. It wasn't easy, but he artfully managed to swipe the cup and then follow the SUV waiting for the appropriate moment to hand it over to its rightful owner.
