Hybrid Vehicle Tire-Slashers Cause Comotion in Virginia Posted: 24 Jul 2013 02:18 PM PDT The American way of life promotes freedom of speech and expression, and keeps these two principles very close to the selection of core beliefs that govern it. However, for some, this idea of freedom is taken a bit too far, and this becomes immediately obvious especially when they begin to invade the lives of people whose more restrained ways of life are more in-tune with what we have now grown to call normal. This has had negative consequences all throughout the United States' history, and continues to produce discord today. I mean, what's with this recent series of tire-slashing, recorded in the state of Virginia? Read more » |
Honda Brags About New Civic Tourer's Europeanness in New Promo Posted: 24 Jul 2013 01:34 PM PDT The British-built Honda Civic, the one sold in Europe, has still not made its mark in the sector, due to quirky styling and for the majority of its early life, the lack of a small-capacity diesel engine. The latter has now been addressed, and the unit Honda has developed is reportedly quite good – we hope to get our hands on one of these just so to have a more accurate and impartial view of the situation. Bugatti Previews Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille Special Edition, Only 3 Will Be Made Posted: 24 Jul 2013 01:04 PM PDT The latest in a long series of limited-edition Veyrons is the "Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille", possibly the supercar with the longest name on sale today… The very limited edition model (only three units will be made) is the first of six "Bugatti Legends" exclusive editions dedicated to Bugatti heroes who have played a crucial role in the brand's history. The first Legend model is dedicated to Jean-Pierre Wimille, a two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner with Bugatti (1937 and 1939). Read more » |
How On Earth Did This Toyota Corolla Overturn? Posted: 24 Jul 2013 12:31 PM PDT After watching the video of this accident that occurred in Russian a number of times, we can say for sure that it wasn't caused by some manic, drunk driver or a speeding young lad racing against his peers, but by something far more devious. At first, we thought that it was definitely a pothole big enough to trap one of the car's tires, but we're not so sure any more, as for one, the visible pothole is on the left hand side of the asphalt, while the Toyota Corolla seems to fall on its front right tire. Man Spends 5,000 Hours to Engrave Civic, Wins Honda's Attention Posted: 24 Jul 2013 11:43 AM PDT Porcelain-style Porsche 911 GT2s and Bugatti Veyrons, you say? Pff! Just take a look at what Shawn Lisjack has been doing for the past three years spending more than 5,000 man-hours, which if you do the math, comes out to more than 208 straight days of work. A self-taught engraver, Lisjack applied the art on his very own 1992 Honda Civic, which he has named "Engraved EG", covering its body with detailed engravings, simply using a Dremel with a diamond-bit drill to draw all sorts of designs ranging from monsters, to Japanese-theme illustrations and freestyle drawings. Walk Around the New Aston Martin Centennial Coupe and Spyder by Zagato Posted: 24 Jul 2013 11:04 AM PDT It must be a great feeling to be the owner and of course, the driver of a one-of-a-kind (and we mean that in the literal sense…) sports car like the Zagato-made Aston Martin DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial and DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial that were both introduced to the world this past Sunday in London. For us mere mortals, we can only dream of owning such a special vehicle and just have to make do with poring over photos, or in this instance, a set of videos that walk us around the two one-off creations. Citroën C-Elysée WTCC is Sebastien Loeb's New 380HP Ride Posted: 24 Jul 2013 10:33 AM PDT There's nothing like a solid career in the racing world to boost the appeal of an otherwise, tedious mainstream model like the Citroen C-Elysee, a sister car to Peugeot's 301 compact sedan, created to win the markets of Turkey, Spain, Central Europe and Algeria, among others. MT Explains the Point of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 507 Estate Posted: 24 Jul 2013 10:01 AM PDT There many US automotive journalists who keep saying that they'd love it if there were more super-fast wagons/estates on sale Stateside, as they are a very cool breed of car which not only satisfies the need for performance, but also that for practicality and interior space fit to carry an entire family. However, it seems that it's more of an enthusiast's choice here, and while there would be demand, it would not be sufficient to justify import and other associated costs. Read more » |
Is it Art or a Tart? The...Porschelain 911 GT2 Posted: 24 Jul 2013 09:14 AM PDT We don't know what you think about a Porsche 911 GT2 featuring a porcelain paint job, but if anything else, you have to give the owner of the car a big thumbs up for the choice of name for his unique-looking ride: The Porschelain - get it?. As strange and exotic as it may look, this isn't the first time we've seen porcelain inspiring the creation of a special sports car. Some two years ago, Bugatti presented the L'Or Blanc Veyron, which not only borrowed the look, but also incorporated the ceramic material in certain parts of the world's fastest car. Read more » |
Americans Don't Love Their Cars As Much As They Used To Posted: 24 Jul 2013 08:51 AM PDT The US automotive market is one of the few in the world which currently laughs in the face of economic recession. Sales are up, as is production, so you would imagine that there would be more vehicles on the road than ever, and that people would be driving their rides for longer, thanks to ever-improving efficiency and (still) relatively low fuel prices. Gas Thieves Receive a Kickass Payback in Russia Posted: 24 Jul 2013 12:04 PM PDT Everyone should know that nothing is free in this life and for everything we do and/or receive, there will eventually be a price to be paid for… The two Russian geniuses featured in this video wanted a free tank of gasoline, but in the end, they paid for it dearly in bodily pain and costly damages to their vehicle as the owner of the car caught them red handed as they were siphoning fuel from one ride to the other. Is This Toyota Corolla Wood Enough For You? Posted: 24 Jul 2013 06:40 AM PDT Ah, the 70s; the days of disco, polyester and CEOs who earned only 30 times more than what average worker did. It was also a decade during which earth tones, vinyl tops and boatloads of fake wood were rather fashionable when it came to cars. But wait; the Toyota Corolla pictured here isn't that old, is it? No, it's actually a new Toyota Corolla Altis sedan, which its owner sent to the imaginative tuners at Modcar Trendz in Mumbai, India, who you may remember from their conversion of another Toyota Corolla into a…Ferrari F430 replica, for a wood-o-luscious makeover.
