2014 Porsche 918 Spyder Revealed in Production Trim [Photos & Videos]

The crown jewel of Porsche and possibly Stuttgart's most important model from a technology standpoint since its spiritual predecessor, the 959 of the late 1980s, was unveiled in its final production guise on the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show during the VW Group Night event.

According to the German brand, the new 918 Spyder "contains the genetic blueprint for the Porsche sportscar of the future," which means that the next generations of Porsche cars will be greatly influenced by this model.

New Rolls-Royce Phantom Celestial Gazes at the Stars

According to Rolls-Royce, three out of four (or 75 percent) customers of the Phantom and Ghost models customize their ride with at least one bespoke element. Opel Slashes Ampera Price by €7,600 in Germany, Starts from €38,300

Following GM's decision to cut the price of the Chevrolet Volt by $5,000 in the U.S., the carmaker's European subsidiary has announced a similar move for the German "cousin" of the Volt, the Opel Ampera. Opel says the plug-in hybrid is now available from €38,300 ($50,510) in Germany - €7,600 ($10,030) less than before. Read more »

VW Makes Eco-Friendly Pizza Delivery a Reality With the e-load up!

Volkswagen says it outright in the official press release that the new all-electric e-load up! is ideal for couriers and pizza delivery duties, and by the looks of it, we'd say they're right.

With a maximum quoted range of 160 km (100 miles) from its 18.7 kW/h battery pack, and as much as 210 Nm (154 lb-ft) the e-load up! hits 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 12.4 seconds and tops out at 130 km/h (81 mph), it mirrors the equally-frugal, yet passenger-faring e-up!.

Jaguar's first crossover / SUV is a vehicle that will get a lot of people talking at this week's Frankfurt motor show.
