GM President Says a Corvette Hybrid is a Possibility

Since hybrid technology is touted as being great for both efficiency and performance, we really should take the possibility of more sports- and supercars being electrified more seriously and even envision a near future where all the best ones get some kind of extra electrical boost.

The new Corvette Stingray is an excellent example of a car that could greatly benefit from becoming a hybrid, if the engineers would be able to make everything work seamlessly and naturally.

Elon Musk's Tesla Model S has succeeded in proving that you don't need an overly-complicated development cycle, or a of big a company as some may believe, to make what is proving to be a solid, high quality product.

The all-electric Model S offers range numbers impressive even for mainstream manufacturers, and it also seems to beat them in terms of engineering – sure, it may get its big range from a physically big and heavy battery pack, but that helps keep the center of gravity down so it's not just ballast.
