Forza 5 Gets Kick-Ass Action Promo by Replicating 2,000 Year-Old Animation Technique

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 04:31 PM PDT

Oh, the lengths some companies will go to in order to get their product in your face, and make you remember it… It doesn't even matter what they're selling, though, or how far-fetched the chosen means of promotion is, and all that should really matter is the quality of the final work.

And the latest promo shot for the upcoming Forza Motorsport 5 game, is indeed a quality piece of work. It is a bit contrived, if you stop and think about it, but the ingenuity shown in making it, the way in which it was shot and the resulting video are well worth your time.

Driving under the influence of any substance that can alter your perception, reaction times or just general thought patterns is in no ways recommendable. Nowadays, if whatever contains the active substance is procured through legal means, then it usually comes with a disclaimer or warning of some kind on the side, or at least a suggestion, like "drink responsibly," or the classic "don't drink and drive." Infiniti Wants to 'De-Americanize' Brand by Adding Diesels and...Making Bigger Cars

Posted: 20 Sep 2013 01:45 PM PDT

You don't need to be descended from Einstein to figure out that Inifinit's lineup of models is specifically targeted at the American consumer who wants a certain type of car. However, ever since the Japanese premium brand expanded its borders outside the US, in 2008, it has not been an effort crowned by success, though, in Europe at least, their FX SUV is a surprisingly common sight.

Now, a report published by Wards Auto, says the brand intends to expand its global appeal, by changing the cars they sell, as well as the specifics of each model. The president of the brand, Johan de Nysschen is right in remarking that nobody would ever buy a mid-sized sedan in Europe, if it didn't also come with a smaller capacity diesel, like the 2.2-liter unit they're going to use to power the base-spec Q50 – a V6 cannot be an entry-level model here.

You really don' need us to tell you just how complicated, expensive and time consuming the development process of a Formula One car is. Nothing burns through cash quicker, and if all of it had been redirected towards the development of more advanced means of space travel, instead of motorsport, we'd have already colonized Mars by now… Read more »

Once we visited the brand's "Why VW" blog that the post pointed us too, the story was much less exciting, albeit one that may or may not interest those of you who like to learn details about the inner workings of automakers and how they reach product-related decisions.

Say hello to the first scoop pictures of the next Renault Twingo wearing its production outfit! Forgive our excitement on Renault's upcoming replacement for the Twingo, which may or may not keep the same name, but when was the last time that an automaker truly shuffled things up in the city car segment?

While most of us grew up associating the term with fast, usually four-seater, coupes (okay, with Sony's game as well), the Bavarians have applied it on their taller-riding and -roofed hatchback editions, including the existing 5-Series GT and 3-Series GT, and case in point, the upcoming 1-Series GT, which was filmed on the Nürburgring by YouTuber, TouriClips.
