| New VW Golf Variant or Jetta SportWagen Scooped Undisguised, Debuts in Geneva Posted: 01 Mar 2013 06:31 PM PST  According to the most recent version of the Geneva Motor Show's official list of world premieres, the next generation of the Volkswagen Golf Variant will join the Cross Up and four more Golf debuts, the GTI, GTD, EcoFuel and BlueMotion. Thanks to our spies, you won't have to wait until VW or some Eastern European website release the pictures to get a glimpse of the station wagon model that will likely continue to be marketed as the Golf Estate in the UK and Jetta Sportwagen in North America. | Watch the Toyota FT-86 Open on the Move, Plus Official Details and 30 Photos Posted: 01 Mar 2013 11:30 AM PST  Following last night's premature reveal, Toyota has officially presented its new GT86 / Scion FR-S-based FT-86 Open concept, just days before we get to see in the flesh at the 83rd edition of the Geneva Motor Show. Besides a more comprehensive and higher-resolution image gallery, Toyota also published the first video of the car on the move and initial specifications. It only takes a quick look at the pictures to see that the FT-86 Open is more of a pre-production model than a concept, something that even Toyota admits, adding that it created the car "to test the water for the possible introduction of a convertible version".

| Spy Shots: 2016 BMW 7-Series to Feature Carbon Fiber Parts Posted: 01 Mar 2013 10:25 AM PST  One of the first early prototypes of the next iteration of BMW's 7-Series with the internal code-name G11, has been caught out in the open in Northern Sweden undergoing winter testing. There's too much camouflage on the car, let alone that many parts on both ends of the prototype, such as the lights, are non-production items, to have a definitive idea of what the G11 looks like, but the lines of the body seem slimmer, especially at the rear end of the saloon, continuing a trend that started with the current F01/F02 generation.
