Audi Adds Extra Shifts to Meet Demand for its A6 and A7 Models

While most carmakers in Europe complain of overcapacity and are forced to close plants, Audi announced that it has added 12 extra shifts at its factory in Neckarsulm, Germany. This happened in the first quarter of this year, due to strong demand for its A6 and A7 models. The VW-owned premium carmaker said it is planning additional shifts in April to meet demand for its large models. Read more »

Chrysler's New 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition Spot Guest Stars Iggy Pop

Designer John Varvatos and Detroit-rocker Iggy Pop are the stars of Chrysler's new "Unboxing" commercial for the 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition that will arrive in dealerships this spring.

The 30-second spot shows the fashion designer taking delivery of the first of a total of 2,000 examples of the 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition models that will be produced. Varvatos then jumps in the car that bears his name along with a surprise passenger, Iggy Pop, who makes a cameo appearance in the commercial.
