Kia Thinks New CUB Concept is a Four-Door Coupe

Posted: 27 Mar 2013 07:49 PM PDT

Automakers often leave us scratching our heads with the things they claim in their press announcements and presentations. By definition, the term four-door coupe is a misnomer because technically, you can have both, but let's say for the sake of conversation, we accept it for what it stands in today's automotive world – a sedan with a coupe-like profile and roofline.

Looking at these freshly released pictures of Kia's brand-new CUB Concept that debuts at this week's Seoul Motor Show (March 28 to April 7), how would you best describe its body style? If you answered a five-door hatchback, Kia will kindly disagree with you, as according to the Koreans, the CUB is a "compact four-door coupe".

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Dealer Brochure Lists Changes, Numbers and Other Details

Posted: 27 Mar 2013 06:49 PM PDT

It's still too early to evaluate and form a final opinion on the public's reaction the styling changes made to America's most popular coupe, especially since few people have actually seen the car in person. However, from what we've read on a number of forums and sites including our own comments section, the initial reaction on the 2014 Camaro is lukewarm.

Besides the cosmetic modifications made to Camaro's front and rear end, and the addition of the 7.0-liter V8-powered, track-focused Z/28, the new model year shuffles up the range, adding some new features while discarding others.

This is Beyond Strange Even for Mother Russia, and Yes, It's NSFW

Posted: 27 Mar 2013 05:10 PM PDT

Perhaps you didn't pay too much attention to the NSFW tag in the title so let's say it again: this video is Not Suitable For Work and you're probably better off if you avoid watching it in the presence of your wife or better half, unless she's used to you surfing online for Russian brides…

Why, we hear some of you ask? Well, because it entails a young, and admittedly beautifully shaped woman in her birthday (…or bachelor, if you prefer) party suit riding on the boot of a moving Mercedes-Benz E-Class saloon as it drives through the streets of a Russian city.

Hyundai Debuts 2014 Equus, Which it Says, is the Number One Shopped Premium Luxury Sedan

Posted: 27 Mar 2013 03:50 PM PDT

What that is supposed to mean, or whether it has anything to do with any aspect of reality, we don't know. However, what Hyundai is clearly trying to say - besides the marketing nonsense, is that the Equus has been significantly improved for 2014, in several important ways.

Mind you, despite retaining the distinctive profile the new Soul is not a revamp of the current model that was launched in 2009 but an all-new car that rides on a new platform that's 28.7 stiffer than before. The second-generation Soul was designed by Kia's California studio, which drew inspiration from the Track'ster concept that was unveiled at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, and engineered both in the US and Korea.
