Posted: 07 Mar 2013 05:45 PM PST

Now, when someone asks what type of car you drive, and you answer with 'Genesis', more often than not, you'll receive a puzzling blank stare. However, one need not to be offended; Hyundai's entrant into the luxury car segment is still a relatively new player.

Revealed at the 2008 North American International Auto Show, it was Hyundai's interpretation of a luxury sedan to compete with the Euros. While sales of the first generation haven't exactly taken the world by storm, those enthusiastic boffins from South Korea are not waving the white flag just yet.

LaColors! Who Said the New LaFerrari has to be in Red Only?

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 04:31 PM PST

Sure, we normally associate all Ferraris with their trademark red color, called "Rosso Corsa", but buyers nowadays have a multitude of different finishes to choose from.

Aside from the basic palette of colors, Ferrari will pretty much paint your car in any shade of your choosing, provided you come up with the cash (isn't that the case always?). It was only natural, then, that they reveal all their all-new cars finished in Rosso Corsa - it's a matter of tradition.

Check Out Toyota's Incredible Collection of Realistic 1:5 Scale Models

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 03:51 PM PST

For us gearheads with hollow pockets and empty back accounts, amassing a collection of real life cars is nigh impossible, which probably explains why the scale model industry is thriving.

Now, there are scale models and there are scale models for individuals, and then there are the specialty car replicas made by automakers for their eyes alone. However, once in a very, very rare while, some companies share their secret creations for a limited time with the public, as is the case with Toyota.

In celebration of the brand's 75th anniversary, Toyota is displaying no less than 50 one-fifth scale creations at the Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagakute city, Aichi prefecture until May 6.

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 03:30 PM PST

Firefighters and rapid response units have been tearing apart wrecked cars (in the event of a very serious accident like this recent Corvette Z06 crash) in order to safely extract their precious human cargo in the same way for decades.

They knew they had to steer clear of fuel lines and electrical components, but aside from that, they had free range to chop up the cars as they saw fit.

Oh, Shucks… Turbocharged 2.3-Liter Four-Pot 2015 Ford Mustang is Only for Europe

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 02:04 PM PST

FoMoCo's "One Ford" philosophy doesn't just apply to their regular lineup of models, but also encompasses their sportier offerings, as well. After turning the Focus and Fiesta ST into global cars, it's time for a much more recognizable model from the Ford stable to go global – we said stable, didn't we?

However, there's a twist; while Europe is getting the all-new Mustang in three different cylinder choices, its US home market version is only getting two of them, the V6 and V8, according to an Edmunds report citing company sources.

Kia's Provo Concept Draws Fire from Northern Ireland Politician

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 12:20 PM PST

Kia seems to have tangled itself into a messy situation after the release of its new 246HP turbocharged Provo Concept that made its world premiere this week at the Geneva International Auto Show.

The reason why Kia is in hot water today has to do with the concept hatchback's name and its association to the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA), who engaged in bombing campaigns during the Troubles in Northern Ireland from 1967 to 1997, and whose members were often referred to as "Provos".

Here's one of those incidents that no matter how many times you try to replicate it on purpose, we're pretty sure that the chances of repeating it are near to none.

We're going to take a wild guess and say that it happened either in Russia or one of the surrounding countries (if you know where it took place, then tell us in the comments).

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 11:30 AM PST

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the usually the first image that springs to mind when talking about a modern luxury car. Long wheelbase or short, with a frugal diesel (S250 CDI has a four-cylinder engine) or a big V12, it makes a lot of sense for executives across the world.

Furthermore, regardless of what car you own, you should always take a look at the latest S-Class, just so you know what kind of features you can expect in run-of-the-mill cars in ten years' time.

We Give Alfa Romeo 4C a Fresh Lick of Paint

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 09:46 AM PST

The production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C was definitely one of the most eagerly-anticipated sports cars of the Geneva Motor Show. We already knew that the Italian automaker wasn't going to make too many changes over the 4C concept, and aside from the kit car-esque headlights, they did keep their promise.

Questionable headlight aesthetics aside, the design of the rest of the car is quite successful, and we couldn't help but wonder what it would look like finished in other colors aside from the red and white variants we've already seen.

Cazzo! Watch a Ferrari 458 Spider Slide and Crash While Overtaking Another Car

Posted: 07 Mar 2013 08:22 AM PST

What are the chances of a Ferrari fan (the seat belt trims leave no doubt about that) filming one of his favorite models getting into an unfortunate accident on a public road? Well, given how rare Ferrari cars are, pretty slim, if you ask us, but not impossible, as this video proves.

The Ferrari fan spotted a red-colored 458 Spider on the Autostrada (Italian highway), reportedly in Bari, and quickly took out his camera phone to record the encounter, but little did he know that in a few seconds, the mid-engine supercar would turn into a heap of metal…
