Mercedes-Benz Video Previews New 2014 S-Class Before Big Reveal on May 15 Posted: 12 May 2013 12:00 PM PDT Still haven't had enough with the teasers and leaked media-material on the next iteration of Mercedes-Benz's flagship saloon? Well, you are in luck today as the German brand with the star released another "preview" video on the 2014 S-Class, three days before the curtains drop and the car hits the stage a special event this Wednesday, May 15, in Hamburg, Germany, for its first public appearance. The 27-second long clip doesn't show anything we haven't seen before, though, we will admit that it does do it in a more stylish fashion… Read more » |
Mitsubishi CS-21 Concept Returns Back to the 1990s Colt for Inspiration Posted: 12 May 2013 10:00 AM PDT More often than not, when designers revisit one of their older projects, they tend to take a more aggressive approach with the styling, but not Gabor Farkas, who had caught our eye back in 2011 with his sporty looking Mitsubishi CS concept for a replacement of the Mitsubishi Colt supermini, which we had liked a lot – and still do. Harris Pits Audi R8 V10 Plus Against Porsche’s 911 Turbo S and 750 HP Tuned Nissan GT-R Posted: 12 May 2013 09:00 AM PDT Chris Harris always seems to like comparative tests better than single-car reviews, simply because there is more to talk about, analyze and/or examine. Each of the chosen cars is driven in turn, and at the end, conclusions are drawn. This time, he has chosen an Audi R8 V10 Plus, a Porsche 997 Turbo S and a Nissan GT-R. Big Range Rover and Sport to Gain Hybrid Variants, Sport Also Gets 2.0-Liter Petrol Turbo Posted: 12 May 2013 08:21 AM PDT The 2013 edition of the Frankfurt motor show, which is to take place this September, has been selected by Land Rover as the venue of choice for the unveiling of diesel-electric hybrid versions of the all-new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The information was obtained by CarSales of Australia, which sat down with a leading engineer for the British company, Stuart Firth. He confirmed that the aforementioned hybrid would go on sale in Europe by the end of this year, and that it's not the only new version to be revealed in Frankfurt. The German auto show will also play host to the unveiling of a new V8 diesel-powered Sport, which will get 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. Read more » |
MT Thoroughly Tests All Three Versions of Jaguar’s F-Type Posted: 12 May 2013 07:00 AM PDT The Jaguar F-Type has been much talked-about ever since it was announced, and we began seeing the first camouflaged prototypes. The hype it has created is was expected and it does show the power of the Jaguar brand. Few other non-exotic cars have aroused so much interest lately, and now with reviews starting to pour in, we can get some idea of what it's like. Read more » |
New Super Edgy Lamborghini Egoista Concept Makes the Veneno Look Plain Posted: 12 May 2013 06:06 AM PDT We've barely just grown accustomed to the shapes and angles of the striking Veneno, which Lamborghini revealed at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, and now we need to readjust our eyesight for another, even crazier exotic supercar by the Italian manufacturer – the Egoista. They call it that because it only has one seat. Revealed at Lambo's private 50th anniversary party, the aviation-inspired concept gets striking looks, with silver body and orange rims and accents. Even the glass canopy is tinted orange and looks great, though probably not while driving – could help at night, though… Read more » |
