A Crosswalk Is A Crosswalk: Russian Pedestrian Walks Over Hood to Prove Point

Posted: 27 May 2013 01:15 PM PDT

If we are to judge by the sheer number of accident videos involving Russian pedestrians who were hit while crossing the street legally, as well as the personal experience of acquaintances who have visited the country, I'd say it's a dangerous place to walk. The locals are so fed up with some drivers that they will do anything to not be stomped on by vehicles. Read more »

Fast & Furious Star Paul Walker Drives Lexus LFA on Track

Posted: 27 May 2013 11:15 AM PDT

Actor Paul Walker's name will forever be inextricably linked to the Fast and Furious franchise, through which literally everybody has heard of him, associating him with reckless driving through traffic and highly-tuned Japanese cars. This was always his F&F character's differing opinion to that of Dom, played by Vin Diesel – the latter preferring classic American muscle.

However, some Japanese cars don't need any more extra work to make them exciting, or special, and one of these cars is the Lexus LFA. Walker was recently asked to participate in a special event celebrating the accumulation of 30,000 miles on the odometers of two LFAs, in which he and a professional driver hoon the two cars around a (very dusty) track.

BMW X5 Has a Mind of Its Own, Decides to Roll while Locked in Park

Posted: 27 May 2013 09:15 AM PDT

You may remember a peculiar recall action by BMW last year that involved only six X5 SUVs that posed the risk of rolling while being locked in "Park." Well, one of these cars confirmed the manufacturer's worst fears and rolled out twice while being parked with the automatic gearbox locked in the "P" position.

Both of the car's "adventures" were caught on tape by a surveillance camera installed at the vehicle owner's home. According to a report from CBC Canada, one of the events resulted in the car being damaged from hitting a tree.

Bummer: Classic 1967 Porsche 911 Wrecked, Driver Ends Up in the Hospital

Posted: 27 May 2013 08:15 AM PDT

The joy of driving an old sports car is unsurpassed by anything most modern cars have to offer, with their heavy (but safe) bodies and electronic nannies that dull down all of the sensations. However, one can't simply throw an old car into corners without a second thought, because the lack of electronic nannies and other safety aids mean that if you're not fully in control (and experienced), chances of crashing are quite high… Read more »

After the North American premiere of the modestly updated Buick Regal sedan in March this year, it's almost time for the debut of the car's European twin, the Opel- and Vauxhall-branded Insignia, which will likely take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show in early September.

Besides the four-door sedan, five-door liftback and Sports Tourer (station wagon), Opel is also working on a new Cross Four variant of the Insignia, which adds SUV-styling traits to the all-wheel drive version of the estate model for a somewhat tougher appearance.

Renault Explains Philosophy Behind 320PS Twin'Run Concept

Posted: 27 May 2013 05:16 AM PDT

Renault has expanded its operations in recent years, building everything from electric cars with tandem seating to mid-size saloons with V6 engines and even crossovers/SUVs. However, the thing they are most famous for is making great small fast cars, and sadly, the latest Clio RS seems to stray away from that, if we are to believe what we read/watch in the reviews.
