Watch a Very, Very Lucky Porsche 911 GT2 RS Driver Chase a Carrera GT at the Nürburgring

Pop quiz: which Porsche is more powerful and faster, the 997-gen 991 GT2 RS or the Carrera GT? You might be forgiven for answering the latter, as it was Porsche's hypercar and a Ferrari Enzo rival whether the former just a souped-up version 911 Turbo at half the GT's price.

The numbers, however, tell a different story. The normally aspirated 5.7-liter V10 in the mid-engined Carrera GT churns out 612HP (620PS) for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter that's hung out behind the rear axle of the 997 GT2 RS has an identical power output and top speed but is faster by 0.4 seconds in the customary 0-100 km/h sprint.

SSC Tuatara Dyno Tested at 1,350HP, Deliveries May Start This December

The Tuatara has been in the works for a few years now, but unlike other manufacturers, SSC has chosen the closed doors approach to its development.

Now, though, according to Gizmag, the V8-powered hypercar is close to being finished, and deliveries may commence as early as the end of this year or in the beginning of 2014. The car, which is designed to be the fastest in the world, comes with a newly developed 423 cu.in. (6.9-liter)  twin turbo V8.

All drivers hate having to pay for parking, but we do it anyway, so that we have less walking to do. However, some are willing to go to extremes in order to avoid having to part with their cash, endangering the lives of the very parking attendants they should be giving the money.

This driver (purportedly from the Ukraine) either has no money or is too embarrassed to get out of his vehicle and face reality or he knows that he can get away with it and tries a daring escape.

Mercedes-Benz Increases U.S. Sales Lead over BMW in April

Mercedes-Benz sold more vehicles in the U.S. in April than archrival BMW, with increases reported for some pricier models like the SL-Class.

Sales for the Mercedes-Benz brand rose 5.8 percent to 23,635 in April, while BMW posted a 10 percent increase to 23,225 units. The April results extended Mercedes' 2013 lead to 4,695 vehicles as the two rival automakers compete for the sales crown that BMW has held for two years.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to Pace the 2013 Indy 500 Race

The seventh-generation 2014 Corvette Stingray will be the official Indianapolis 500 Pace Car on Sunday, May 26, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This will be the 12th time a Corvette has served this role since 1978.

"It is an honor to help inaugurate the all-new Corvette Stingray at the hallowed Brickyard and further the legacy between Chevrolet and the Indianapolis 500," said Jim Campbell, GM vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. "The 2014 Corvette Stingray's performance was influenced by racing, making this prestigious assignment even more fitting."

New Info on Nissan's Ford Focus Hatchback Rival that's Set to Launch in 2014

Nissan wants to put itself back on the compact hatchback-map in Europe with a new model to rival the likes of the Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf or Opel/Vauxhall Astra. Now, we have new information on the hatch, which is set to make its debut in 2014 – it is already very late in its development cycle, and heavily camouflaged prototypes are already out and about.
